About

Welcome to my blog! I am honored that you have paid a visit to consider my reflections on the question “Where was God in my day?” As I write each week, I am finding I’m the one who is helped the most. Somehow, this blog has stirred faith in me and my deepest hope is that it will do the same for you, helping you become more aware of God who truly is everywhere. We only need eyes to see.

I have always loved writing and consider it one of my greatest blessings in life. There are many steppingstones on this path. When I was a kid, I used to make little “books” for my friends as gifts. They were usually humorous (at least in my opinion!) The topics escape my memory, but I remember the thrill of giving the gift of words. One big steppingstone has to be when in Grade 7, we were given an assignment to write an original poem. The poem that I wrote (still in my memory bank, just ask me!) felt like a miracle. I called it “The Treasure”. I hadn’t known it was in me and in many ways it described my life’s journey ahead.

Writing has become a friend that I can rely on to have peace no matter what my circumstances. That is not to say that it is easy. I usually squirm when I begin, and would rather do anything but reach into the depths to consider what I really mean. But I am always encouraged to find that I am never let down. Put simply, God meets me in this place, whether it’s writing and deleting and writing again as I start, or whittling away at it until it feels “just right”.

Please visit often and share your own reflections!
